Lorén, a Violinist, Violist and Educator, is a recent arrival to the Triangle area. She is excited to plant roots in North Carolina and explore the region’s creative and educational opportunities!

Ms. Hannah holds a Viola Performance degree from the New England Conservatory of Music as a student of Walter Trampler, and was the Graduate Assistant to Ann Danis at the University of Rhode Island.

While performing in the New England area, Lorén maintained a large private studio of 40+ string students, was Adjunct Professor of Viola at Fairfield University and the Assistant Director and head Ensemble Coach for the Connecticut Alliance for Music’s Summer Chamber Music Programs. Additional coaching experience in the New England area includes Viola Instructor at the University of Rhode Island’s Preparatory Program and member of Creative Music & Arts, Professional Music Center and Westport Music Center as a violin and viola teacher.

Lorén’s Chamber Music highlights include; violist with the Myriad String Trio, Bowstix Piano Quartet, Alexander Piano Quartet and the Scirocco String Quartet. Ms. Hannah’s Additional Orchestral highlights include; Associate Principal Viola with the Atlantic Classical Orchestra, Co-Principal Viola with the Paul Mellon Chamber Orchestra, Principal Viola with the Palm Beach Pops and violist with the Palm Beach Opera.

During the course of her musical career, Lorén has had the pleasure of instructing numerous violin and viola students of all levels, beginners to University, and all age brackets, from 4 year olds to senior citizens. In her string coaching she endeavors to instill excellent musical habits with an emphasis on solid fundamentals - all the while encouraging the Love & Joy of Music
